Write a little introduction about yourself and what makes you unique. Include a greeting as well that will make people feel welcomed.
Write about why you do what you do. Explain why the person reading is the right fit for what you are offering them, whether it be content, products, or services. This section can include a mission statement, and should be phrased from the perspective of how you are benefiting the reader. List a few things you and the reader have in common.
Tell the background story of how you started this website. What happened in your life or as a business that led you to this point? Make it as personal as you are comfortable with so that the reader has something they can relate to. It helps to reference places, relationships, and experiences that are a part of the story and that might be relatable. Everyone has friends, family, a hometown, etc so remind them where your similarities lie.
You can also discuss the evolution of your services here. What is new and exciting right now in your business? How have you pivoted over time? Explain why right now is the time for this reader to become involved with your brand. Wrap everything up by explaining what you think the future of this brand will look like, and what your hope is for the reader once they become involved with your products, services or content.
Finally, write some fun facts. This is the most lighthearted part of the page, but it is critical in creating a solid bond with your visitors.You want facts here that are relatable enough to a wide audience so people feel like they know you. Even when things are super general like “we like animals” it gives people something to relate to and discuss. The more personal these feel and the more detail they include, they more likely they are to hook your readers.
